Chase has developed and led community engagement workshops in London, Edinburgh and Glasgow. Previous workshop themes include HIV futures and speculative health; health, emotions and comics; and imagined healthcare futures.
Being Human 2021 – Renewing Bodies, Visualising Emotions

In this art-based workshop, participants explored how bodies and emotions have changed during COVID-19. We focused on the relationship between what we feel (for example, through touch or smell) and how we can represent it through drawing and visual media. Participants had a chance to create their own comic strip and share their experiences during COVID-19.
Getting to Zero – Exploring HIV Health Promotion

Community members worked with creative practitioners to explore what futures with less HIV might mean and look like in the Scottish context. Participants looked at health promotion examples and then work with a local artist to create their own visual interpretations of the futures of HIV. Participants had an opportunity to share their perceived futuresat the end of the workshop.
