The “HIV Activists during COVID-19” project uses focus groups and semi-structured interviews to explore the roles of HIV activists during the early COVID-19 crisis in the UK (March 2020-March 2021). It questions how health advocates’ experiences of HIV activism have changed, what their roles in health advocacy organisations were like during the early crisis period, and what they see their future role(s) accomplishing in a ‘post’-COVID-19 society. The project will take place between March-September 2022.
This project has been generously funded by the UK-International Coronavirus Network (UK-ICN) and the Biotechnology and Biological Research Council (BBSRC).
